Twelve of the linemen Barry has coached have played in the NFL, including current linemen: Locklear, Chad Clifton (Green Bay), Cosey Coleman (Cleveland) and Fred Weary (Houston).Īs a collegiate player, Barry played at Nebraska (1964-66) and at Southern Illinois (1966-69). He has coached in 14 bowl games and won the National Championship with the Buffaloes in 1990 and the Volunteers in 1998. He helped Locklear become the first Wolfpack offensive lineman since 1992 to earn first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors as a senior.īarry also had coaching stints at Tennessee, Southern California, Colorado, Iowa State, Arizona and Southern Illinois.
